Stock numbers that lie by lunchtime:
never again
An item sells out at 10am and the ad still runs until someone notices the wasted spend, or worse, a customer orders something that is not there. We build an agent that watches stock across every source of truth and pushes the correction everywhere it needs to land before the gap turns into a refund.
The process today
Stock and the ads pointing at that stock live in different systems, and keeping them in sync by hand is a losing race. A product sells through on the storefront, but the ad platform’s catalogue still shows it as available because the feed only refreshes once a day, or because someone forgot to toggle it off in one of the three places that needed the change. Industry benchmarks for catalogue health commonly put the share of listings with at least one stale attribute at 10 to 20 percent on an unmanaged feed, and each one of those is either wasted ad spend on a product nobody can buy, or a customer complaint when an order cannot be fulfilled.
The other failure mode is the opposite: a restock happens and nobody re-enables the ad set, so a warehouse sits on inventory while the campaign that used to sell it stays paused. Teams running more than a few hundred SKUs across more than one ad platform usually end up with a spreadsheet or a weekly manual export as the only sync mechanism, which means the gap between reality and the feed is measured in hours on a good day and days on a bad one.
What the agent does
Reads stock from the actual source of truth, whether that is your ERP, your warehouse management system or your store’s own inventory count, instead of trusting whatever the feed last said.
Pushes corrections to every feed that needs them, updating Google Merchant Center, Meta Catalog, TikTok Shop and marketplace listings within minutes of a stock change rather than waiting for the next scheduled export.
Pulls out-of-stock items from active ad sets automatically, and re-enables them the moment stock is confirmed back, so budget is not spent chasing a product that cannot ship.
Monitors feed health for disapprovals, flagging mismatched prices, missing attributes or policy rejections before they quietly cut reach on a listing.
Checks price and availability consistency across the store and every feed, catching the case where a promo price updated in one place and not the other.
Logs every change with its source, so a sudden price drop or stock jump in a feed can always be traced back to the system and the event that caused it.
What stays with humans
The agent corrects feed data, it does not set pricing strategy or decide what gets advertised. Any change to a listed price outside the normal sync range, a new product launch, or a decision to pause a whole campaign rather than a single out-of-stock item goes to a person. If the stock source itself looks wrong, like a sudden jump to zero across an entire category, the agent flags it for a human to confirm before it pulls dozens of listings at once.
Guards
A dry-run period where the agent reports the changes it would make without pushing them, so you can confirm the mapping between your stock system and each feed is correct before it runs unattended. After that, every push is logged with its before and after value and its source, rate limits cap how many changes a single listing can take in a short window to prevent a feedback loop from a flaky data source, and a kill switch pulls the agent off a platform or a feed instantly if something looks off.

Works best alongside catalogue sync, pricing rules and margin guards and multi-marketplace repricing, since all four read from the same stock and pricing source. Part of automation of everything digital and built the way we build AI agents for our own products. We ran this kind of sync problem down ourselves: the Shopify audit behind the D2C store rebuild in Thailand found a catalogue with the bulk of products miscategorized, and our own digital goods marketplace prices tens of thousands of listings from one engine precisely to avoid this kind of drift.

FAQ
How much does a stock and feed sync agent cost?
A single feed, one store and one or two ad platforms, starts from $900. A department package covering feeds, catalogue sync and pricing rules together starts from $2,500, priced once we know how many SKUs and platforms are involved.
How long does it take to go live?
4 to 9 days: mapping your actual stock source (ERP, WMS or store backend), connecting the ad platforms, and a short dry-run where the agent flags the changes it would push before it is allowed to push them unattended.
Which tools does it connect to?
Shopify, WooCommerce and most store backends on the store side, Google Merchant Center, Meta Catalog, TikTok Shop and marketplace feed APIs on the ad side, and your ERP or warehouse system as the source of truth for actual stock.
What if the agent pushes a wrong number?
Every push is logged with the before and after value and the source it came from, so a wrong number is traceable to its cause in one lookup. Rate limits cap how often a single listing can change in a short window, and a kill switch stops all pushes to a platform instantly.
Is our stock and pricing data safe?
The agent reads your systems through the same API credentials you already use, scoped to read stock and write feed updates only, and we do not store your catalogue outside the sync pipeline. Keys stay yours and can be revoked at any time.
