Voice & Calls

One phone line,
every language your callers actually speak

A support line that only speaks one language turns every other caller into a frustrating guessing game or a long hold for a translator. We build an agent that detects the language a caller is speaking and answers in it directly, across as many languages as your customer base actually needs.

The process today

A support line built around one language handles callers in that language well and everyone else poorly: long holds while someone finds a colleague who speaks the caller’s language, a translation app held up to the phone, or simply a caller who gives up and goes elsewhere because nobody could understand the request.

For businesses serving tourists, migrant communities or international customers, this is not an edge case but a meaningful share of calls, and the quality gap between the main language and every other one often defines whether those callers become customers at all.

The gap shows up most clearly in the data a business never collects: calls from speakers of an unsupported language often never make it into any report, since they are abandoned before reaching anyone who could log them, so the true size of the missed opportunity is usually larger than it looks from the call log alone.

What the agent does

The agent listens to the first few seconds of a call and detects the language being spoken, then responds in that language with a script and FAQ answers that were translated and checked by a native speaker, not machine-translated on the fly. If a caller switches language mid-call, the agent follows.

For anything outside the script, or any language not yet covered, the agent transfers to a person who speaks it, with a summary of what was said so far, rather than attempting an answer it cannot do reliably.

Because the agent is built per language rather than through live machine translation, the tone and wording for each language are reviewed separately, which avoids the stilted phrasing that comes from translating a script word for word instead of writing it naturally in each language from the start.

A per-language report shows call volume and resolution rate side by side, which helps a team decide where to invest further, for example expanding a script that is getting heavy use in one language while another barely gets any calls and may not be worth the ongoing review overhead.

What stays with humans

Deciding which languages to support and reviewing the translated script and FAQ answers is a human step for every language, done by a native speaker before launch. Calls the agent cannot handle confidently in a given language go to a person who speaks it. Deciding which languages justify a dedicated setup, based on how many callers actually need them, is a judgment call for your team informed by the per-language volume report.

Guards

Call outcomes are logged per language so you can see where the agent performs well and where it needs more work. Each new language goes through a review period against real call recordings before it is allowed to answer live calls on its own. Any caller can ask for a human interpreter instead of the agent at any point in the call, in any supported language, and is transferred without having to repeat the request. A manager can disable a specific language instantly if a scripting issue turns up, without affecting calls in any other language.

Price and timeline

| Option | Price | What it covers | Timeline ||—|—|—|—|| Single automation | from $900 | Three to four languages, script and FAQ translated and checked, live transfer | 7 to 14 days || Department package | from $2,500 | Multilingual support plus inbound call answering and real-time call translation together | 2 to 4 weeks | Running cost is usually $30 to $150 a month in model usage depending on call volume, with a budget cap set before launch.

Pair this with inbound call answering, real time call translation, ivr replacement to cover the rest of your voice workflow. FAQ

How much does multilingual phone support cost?

From $900 for a setup covering three to four languages with your common call reasons, live in 7 to 14 days.

How does it detect the language?

From the first few seconds of speech, and it switches instantly if a caller changes language mid-call, without asking the caller to pick a language from a menu.

What if a language is not supported?

The agent says so honestly and transfers to a person, rather than attempting an answer in a language it was not set up and checked for.

Who checks the translated script?

A native speaker reviews every translated script and FAQ answer before launch; we do not ship a machine translation without a human check.

Can we add a language later?

Yes, adding a language to an existing setup is faster than the first build, since the routing and scoring logic is already in place.
