A Telegram Mini App marketplace
that feels like an app, lives in a chat
A Mini App marketplace gives Telegram's billion-plus users a real storefront, scrolling, filtering, a cart, checkout, without leaving the chat or installing a separate app. We run one ourselves: 2,179 products, 130 categories, a Mini App front end.
What it is and who needs it
A Telegram Mini App marketplace is a full web storefront that opens inside Telegram instead of a browser or a separate app: a real catalogue with filters, a cart, checkout, order history, built as a web app and launched through a Telegram button. It suits a seller with more products than a chat-based bot handles comfortably, or anyone who wants to reach Telegram’s audience without asking them to install yet another app.
It is a bigger build than a shop bot and earns its cost once the catalogue, the payment complexity or the supplier integrations go beyond what a simple chat flow supports. If you are testing demand with under fifty products, start with a Telegram shop bot and grow into a Mini App once volume justifies it.
What is inside
A buyer opens the Mini App from a button in your bot or channel and gets a real storefront: categories, search, product pages, a cart that persists between sessions, and checkout through Stars, cards or crypto depending on your market. Behind it, a catalogue synced from your own system or supplier feeds, an admin panel with roles so a support person and an inventory manager see different things, and order management that does not require touching a database directly.
This is the exact shape of our own product, ProBay: a catalogue synced idempotently from a pricing system, 2,179 products across 130 categories, supplier integrations that pick the best available price and hold on potential loss, a margin guard verified against 864 orders with zero sold below cost, and an eight-agent AI team running day-to-day operations like support and catalogue upkeep.
How we build it
We model the catalogue and supplier relationships first, because that data model is what the rest of the marketplace sits on, and getting it wrong means rebuilding later, not patching. The Mini App front end is built for the constraints of running inside Telegram’s webview, fast load, no dependency on features Telegram does not support, rather than porting a generic web app and hoping it fits.
Pricing and margin logic get their own test suite before launch, because a marketplace that silently sells below cost is a slow leak that is easy to miss until the numbers are already wrong. We build in idempotent catalogue sync so a retried update never creates duplicate products, and we deploy with monitoring, backups and a handover document so the system is maintainable by any developer, not just us.
Load testing matters more here than on a shop bot, because a Mini App that is slow to open loses a buyer in the first two seconds, before they ever see the catalogue. We budget time specifically for the webview’s startup path, image sizes and the first screen’s data fetch, since that is where a marketplace either feels instant or feels like a web page that took a wrong turn into a chat app.
Timeline and price
| Tier | Price | Timeline | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| MVP | from $5,000 | 6 to 10 weeks | One core flow, one channel, enough to go live and test demand |
| Production | from $9,000 | 8 to 12 weeks | Full flow, admin tools, integrations, monitoring, ready for real volume |
| Full control, handover-ready | from $15,300 | 10 to 14 weeks | Same build, plus documentation, test coverage and a handover package so any developer can take over, not just us |
Running cost depends heavily on supplier API usage and payment volume; we size it with you once the catalogue is defined.
What you own at the end
The full codebase, the database with every product and order, the supplier integration code, and the deployment configuration. Nothing about the marketplace depends on an account only we control.

FAQ
How much does a Telegram Mini App marketplace cost?
A catalogue of a few hundred products with one payment method and a basic admin panel starts at $5,000 and takes six to ten weeks. A larger catalogue with supplier integrations, multiple payment methods and a margin guard runs $9,000 to $15,000.
How is this different from a shop bot?
A shop bot runs as chat messages; a Mini App is a real web interface, scrolling, filtering, a visual cart, inside the Telegram window. It suits a bigger catalogue and a buyer who wants to browse, not just reorder the same thing.
What is a margin guard and do I need one?
A rule that blocks any sale below cost plus fees. We run one on our own marketplace, verified on 864 orders with zero below cost. If you sell digital goods with fluctuating supplier prices, you need this; if your prices are fixed, it matters less.
Who owns the marketplace after launch?
You do. The Mini App, the backend, the database and the supplier integrations are yours, deployed on infrastructure in your name, not running inside our own product.
Can it integrate with suppliers or an existing catalogue?
Yes, this is usually the most involved part of the build. We have built supplier integrations with lowest-price selection and HOLD logic on potential loss for our own marketplace and can adapt that pattern to your suppliers.
