A LINE OA bot
that sells and books where Thailand already chats
In Thailand, LINE is where a customer already is, before a website, before a separate app. A LINE OA bot sells or books inside that same chat, with PromptPay and local delivery built in, not translated from a Western messaging pattern that does not quite fit.
What it is and who needs it
A LINE OA bot is a shop or booking flow built inside a LINE Official Account, for a business whose Thai customers already live in LINE for everything from chatting with friends to paying at a market stall. It suits a retailer, a clinic, a salon, a restaurant, anywhere a Thai customer would rather message a business on LINE than visit a website or install a separate app.
It is not a generic messaging bot ported from a Western platform. LINE’s rich menus, quick replies and payment flows work differently from Telegram or WhatsApp, and a bot built without that in mind feels foreign to exactly the audience it is meant to serve.
What is inside
A customer opens your LINE OA, sees a catalogue or available booking slots through a rich menu built for LINE’s actual interface, and completes a purchase or booking with PromptPay or another local payment method, without leaving the chat. LINE login lets a returning customer skip re-entering details, and every order or booking triggers a staff alert so nothing is missed.
We built exactly this combination for a sports nutrition brand’s new store in Thailand: PromptPay and cash on delivery, Thai address handling, LINE login, an eight-mechanic promo engine, and a catalogue normalised from 37 original products into 7 clean product lines and 43 SKUs, the same kind of catalogue discipline that makes a LINE OA bot’s product list easy for a customer to actually browse instead of scroll past.
How we build it
We design the rich menu and conversation flow around how Thai customers actually use LINE, not a direct translation of a flow built for a different platform’s conventions. Payment integration goes through a provider that supports PromptPay properly, tested against real transactions before launch, because a payment failure on a bot customers trust with real money is the fastest way to lose that trust.
Catalogue structure gets the same attention as a full store build: clear categories, accurate stock, prices that match what is actually charged, because a LINE OA audience notices inconsistency quickly and has plenty of alternatives one message away. We deploy with monitoring and hand over the LINE Official Account credentials and the full codebase.
Rich menu design gets its own round of attention too, since LINE’s interface conventions are specific, and a menu that looks like it was copied from a Telegram bot reads as unfamiliar to a Thai user in a way that quietly costs conversions even when the underlying flow works correctly.
We also plan for the handoff between OA chat and bot logic explicitly: a customer should be able to ask a human-sounding question mid-order and get an actual person, not a dead end, which means the bot and any support escalation share the same conversation history rather than starting fresh.
Timeline and price
| Tier | Price | Timeline | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| MVP | from $1,200 | 2 to 3 weeks | One core flow, one channel, enough to go live and test demand |
| Production | from $2,700 | 3 to 5 weeks | Full flow, admin tools, integrations, monitoring, ready for real volume |
| Full control, handover-ready | from $4,590 | 5 to 7 weeks | Same build, plus documentation, test coverage and a handover package so any developer can take over, not just us |
Running cost is typically $15 to $35 a month in hosting plus LINE Messaging API usage based on volume.
What you own at the end
The LINE Official Account, the customer and order database, and the full source code. Your catalogue and customer relationship are not locked inside a LINE mini-site builder you do not control.

FAQ
How much does a LINE OA bot cost?
A catalogue or booking flow with PromptPay starts at $1,200 and is live in two to three weeks. Loyalty points, multiple categories and an admin panel run $2,500 to $4,200.
Why LINE instead of Telegram or WhatsApp for Thailand?
LINE is the dominant messaging app in Thailand for everyday use, including business communication. A Thai audience is more likely to already have LINE open than to install a second app for your business.
Does it support PromptPay directly?
Yes, through a payment provider like Opn, integrated into the checkout flow so a customer pays without leaving the chat.
Who owns the LINE Official Account and customer data?
You do. The OA is registered in your name, customer and order data live in a database you control, and the bot's code is yours.
Can it include a loyalty or points system?
Yes, LINE's rich menu and messaging format work well for a simple points or stamp-card style loyalty mechanic, which we can add as part of the build or afterward.
