Answers from your database
without waiting on a query
Someone asks how many orders came from a region last month and it takes a day to get an answer, because the person who can write that query is busy and everyone else is stuck waiting. We build an agent that reads your database directly, through a guarded read-only layer, and answers in plain language or on a schedule.
The process today
A simple business question, how many orders came from a specific region last month, how did a metric trend over the last quarter, usually requires someone who knows SQL and has database access, and that person is rarely the one who needs the answer fastest. Teams without a dedicated analyst commonly report that a routine data question takes anywhere from a few hours to a full day to answer, not because the query is hard, but because it sits in a queue behind someone’s other work.
The common workaround, building a dashboard for every recurring question, does not scale either. Dashboards answer the question they were built for and nothing else, and a new question still needs a new query or a new chart built from scratch. Meanwhile, giving more people direct database access to skip the bottleneck introduces its own risk: a badly written query can lock a table or return a number that looks precise but is subtly wrong because it missed a join condition nobody caught.
What the agent does
Answers plain-language questions directly, translating “how many orders came from Thailand last month” into a scoped SQL query and returning the number, with the query itself available for anyone who wants to check it.
Runs on a dedicated read-only role, scoped to an approved data mart or set of views rather than raw production tables, so the agent physically cannot write, update or delete regardless of what query it generates.
Delivers scheduled reports to Slack, Telegram or email on whatever cadence your team needs, formatted as a chart or table depending on what the question calls for, so recurring reports stop depending on someone remembering to run them.
Forces row limits and timeouts on every query, so a question that would otherwise scan an entire table and lock up the database gets capped automatically instead of becoming its own incident.
Logs every question and the query behind it, so a number in a report can always be traced back to exactly what was asked and exactly what ran, instead of trusting a dashboard that nobody can audit.
Flags when a question cannot be answered from the data actually available, rather than guessing or returning a technically correct but misleading number because of a schema it misunderstood.
What stays with humans
The agent answers from data, it does not make the business decision the data informs. Anything that would require a write operation, correcting a record, adjusting a value, stays entirely outside the agent’s role since it has no write access by design. Interpreting an ambiguous question, deciding what metric definition the business actually means by a term like “active customer,” and any report headed for an external audience (investors, auditors, regulators) goes through a human before it ships.
Guards
A testing period against real questions your team already asks, comparing the agent’s answers to known-correct numbers before anyone relies on it for a new question. The read-only role and scoped views are set up and reviewed before launch and do not expand without a person approving the change. Forced row limits and timeouts cap what any single query can do to the database, and every question and query is logged for audit. A kill switch revokes the agent’s database access instantly.

| Single automation | from $700 | One database or data mart, answering questions and shipping scheduled reports |
| Department package | from $2,500 | Reporting across several data sources with shared scheduling and delivery |
4 to 9 days, most of it spent setting up the guarded read-only layer and mapping your schema so answers are accurate from the first real question.

FAQ
How much does an AI database reporting agent cost?
A single database or data mart with a read-only question-answering agent starts from $700. A department package covering reporting across several data sources starts from $2,500, depending on schema complexity and how many report schedules you need.
How long does it take to go live?
4 to 9 days: setting up the guarded read-only role and query layer, mapping your schema so the agent understands what a 'customer' or an 'order' actually means in your specific database, and testing against real questions your team already asks.
Which tools does it connect to?
PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, Snowflake and similar databases through a dedicated read-only role, Slack, Telegram or email for delivering answers and scheduled reports, and Claude for turning a plain-language question into a safe, scoped SQL query.
What if the agent runs a wrong or dangerous query?
The agent's database role is read-only, so it cannot write, update or delete regardless of what it generates. Every query is scoped to an approved mart or view, forced row limits and timeouts prevent runaway queries, and every question and its underlying SQL are logged so a wrong answer can be traced and corrected.
Is our data safe?
The agent connects through a role you control, scoped to only the tables or views you approve, and credentials stay yours and revocable at any time. We do not retain your data outside the question-answering session, and sensitive tables can be excluded from the agent's scope entirely.
